Commercial Development (60-70% of role)
Client Acquisition & Pipeline Management:
- Actively identify, qualify, and convert new prospects across seed companies, distributors, and agrochemical partners.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Effectively support contract negotiations and develop partnerships with distributors and seed treatment companies.
Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and market mapping in Brazilian biostimulant/biocontrol sectors.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and recommend strategic product positioning.
Relationship Building & Networking:
- Represent Fyteko at industry conferences, field days, and commercial meetings together with Regional Account Manager as the continuous face of the company in Brazil.
- Build a network of agronomic influencers, technical advisors, and industry leaders to amplify Fyteko’s market presence.
Account Management:
- Serve as primary commercial contact for existing Brazilian clients, aligning with Regional Account Manager.
- Collaborate with clients to develop joint go-to-market strategies and co-promotional activities.
Technical Background & Trial Management (30-40% of role)
Field Trial Leadership:
- Design and oversee multi-site field trials demonstrating product efficacy aligning with Regional Account Manager.
- Translate trial results into compelling commercial narratives that drive purchase decisions.
- Sign technical certificates and regulatory documentation (requires proven track record and credibility).
Technical Support & Training:
- Provide agronomic expertise to distributors and end-users on product application and benefits.
- Develop technical materials (application guides, case studies, demo protocols) with a focus on commercial value proposition.
Desired profile
Professional Background:
- 5-10 years of experience in agronomy, with minimum 3 years in commercial/business development roles. Proven track record of building distributor or seed company partnerships and achieving sales targets.
- Experience managing field trials and converting trial results into commercial wins.
- Demonstrated success in launching new products or building territories (entrepreneurial experience highly valued).
Commercial Competencies:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with ability to close deals.
- Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles in agriculture (3–18-month cycles typical).
- Ability to identify customer pain points and position solutions strategically.
Technical Competencies:
- Deep expertise in crop protection, biostimulants, or biocontrol products.
- Strong understanding of Brazilian agricultural systems (soybean, corn, cotton, sugarcane, coffee).
- Experience with trial design, statistical analysis, and regulatory requirements (MAPA familiarity preferred).
