Fyteko uses its original research to develop and produce a new generation of advanced crop biostimulants
Fyteko produces safe, sustainable input solutions to increase and optimise crop yields worldwide
Using bio-based technologies, Fyteko develops new active ingredients and formulations that meet market demands and farmers’ needs
Established in 2014 by bio-entrepreneurs Guillaume Wegria and Dr Juan Carlos Cabrera, Fyteko is a committed climate-smart company, focused on the development of advanced plant biostimulants.
We believe in a more sustainable agriculture. Inspired by original research, we’re making it happen.
We see a future where the world’s farmers can feed a growing population, using safe and sustainable inputs.
We’re discoverers and disruptors. By pushing boundaries and challenging conventions, we are creating a bio-based input economy for agriculture.
If you know where to look, nature often has its own solution. Simple, but clever. Nature’s helping us turn the world of plant protection products on its head.
Agriculture has been environmentally damaging. We’re seeking ways to resolve that, using our business to create a leadership position from which to identify and validate better practices; practices that do good.
It’s people, not businesses, who bring visions to life – and life to visions. Relationships. Respect. Recognition. Breaking down barriers, celebrating collaboration, instilling trust.
We’re not just guided by science; we’re creating the science. Our original research develops and refines our products to deliver tangible, realistic benefits – clearly defined, extensively proven.

A few words about
Collaboration is what drives Fyteko. We always believe two heads are better than one. As with our management, directorial and scientific teams, we believe the output of a team is more than the sum of its individuals. One plus one equals three.
That’s why we work with organisations and individuals with whom we can identify and share common goals and objectives. Fyteko is part of an extensive R&D network, linking with professional researchers, biotechnology experts and accomplished scientists to pursue new and sustainable solutions for agriculture.
Fyteko has also participated in Horizon 2020, to date the largest European Union Research and Innovation programme ever launched. Over seven years, Horizon 2020 provided nearly €80 billion of funding to help progress breakthroughs and discoveries from the lab to the market. Our grant covers a two-year research and development project that began in May 2020, covering field trials in eight EU countries, upscaling of production and further formulation work before our European launch in 2022 or 2023.
Fyteko is honoured to be one of the 1000 solutions selected by Bertrand Piccard, and supported by the Solar Impulse Foundation, that can protect the environment in a profitable way. A label focused on both environment and profitability, recognition as a Solar Impulse Efficient Solution serves as a credible marker of quality to decision-makers in business and government.
“Solutions exist that are logical more than just ecological, that can create jobs and generate profit while also reducing polluting emissions and preserving natural resources.” – Bertrand Piccard
