Quality Laboratory Technician
The Quality Laboratory Technician is responsible for all quality testing for the Production Site of Fyteko in Mons. He/She ensures that raw materials, in-process samples and final products meet defined quality specifications through rigorous analytical testing, accurate documentation, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards. He/She might from time to time support the R&D team in Louvain-La-Neuve.

Quality Laboratory Analysis

  • Receive, label and safely store samples to be subjected to quality control
  • Define and perform tests needed for the analysis and report
  • Record tests and analyses, then enter the results into a spreadsheet and into Odoo
  • Communicate test results and observations to relevant teams; notify relevant teams in case of out-of-specification (OOS) results
  • Support root cause investigations and non-conformity management
  • Contribute to methods improvement, procedures, and lab organisation

Compliance & Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

  • Follow SOPs, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GLP)
  • Participate in internal audits, calibrations, and instrument maintenance

Equipment and Laboratory Maintenance

  • Responsible for the proper use, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
  • Contribute to the laboratory maintenance, ensuring compliance with storage procedures for various products used

Data Recording and Reporting upon R&D request

  • Draft comprehensive experimental reports by collecting data from various analyses
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of test data, perform calculations using spreadsheets, and manage calibration records

Carry out experiments requested by the R&D department

  • New formulations testing
  • Stability tests

Monitoring of consumables and chemical reagents

  • Notify the relevant person when order is to be placed

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar role
  • At ease with following SOPs, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GLP)
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry, computing, statistics and quality control
  • Proficiency in laboratory analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with chemical safety risks
  • IT skills: MS Office /Teams/Outlook
  • Knowledge in ERP system is a plus (Odoo)
  • French: mother tongue level
  • English: fluency in technical English
