Key Account Manager
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for translating Fyteko’s commercial strategy into sales execution and operational excellence. This role focuses on managing key customer accounts (no matter the region), optimizing performance, and driving revenue growth through direct client engagement and strategic account planning.

Sales and Key Customer Management

  • Develop and implement sales plans and revenue targets aligned with the company’s strategy; assist the CCO to build and manage the sales strategy
  • Own the sales pipeline, from lead generation to contract finalization.
  • Manage a portfolio of key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and high customer satisfaction.
  • Lead negotiations and deal closures, ensuring commercial success in alignment with company objectives.
  • Give support to the CCO for the drafting and implementation of contracts and licensing agreements such as memorandums of understanding, term sheets, and distribution agreements.
  • Prospect in order to duplicate succeeding offers for some targeted key account


Sales and Key Customer Management

  • Analyze and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Optimize CRM tools, reporting systems, and sales processes for maximum efficiency.


Representation

  • Represent Fyteko at industry events and client meetings, fostering brand positioning and customer engagement; prepare and ensure speeches


Mentoring

  • Coach and mentor, the performance of the Regional Account Manager.


  • Master or PhD Bioengineer or Life Science / PhD or technical but business-oriented background
  • At least 5 years’ experience in sales account management and/or business development, ideally in the biotechnology, life sciences, agricultural technology, or other fast-growing industries.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the agri-technology sector, seed sector
    English and French fluent
  • Spanish is an asset
  • Strategic & Hands-on: Demonstrated ability to execute operationally, to be pragmatic (managing pipelines, closing deals, supporting customers) while also being able to think strategically (developing plans, identifying growth opportunities). Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication and people skills. Able to confidently engage and build trust with a wide range of stakeholders – from scientists and technical experts to C-level executives at partner organizations. Effective at presenting value propositions, leading negotiations, and fostering long-term relationships. 
  • Collaboration & Adaptability: Team player who works well cross-functionally. Comfortable with coaching + mentoring sales colleagues. Willing to collaborate with colleagues in marketing, technical, and operations teams to achieve shared objectives. Adaptable and open to feedback, with the agility to adjust tactics in a rapidly evolving market.
