Development pipeline

At Fyteko, we unlock nature’s potential. Our bio-based discovery platform identifies the powerful biomolecules that will underpin the next generation of biostimulants and biopesticides, boost adjuvant performance, and advance sustainable crop protection.

Herbicide bioenhancers

Using the same bio-based discovery platform, Fyteko has developed a hydroxycinnamic polymer that functions as an herbicide enhancer. It allows herbicide doses to be reduced by between 30–50%, without compromising efficacy. The compound improves herbicide retention on the leaf and enhances penetration through the cuticle into the plant cells. The efficacy of Fyteko’s bio-based hydroxycinnamic polymer depends on the physicochemical properties of the herbicide.

Pioneering the Next Generation of Biopesticides

At Fyteko, we have expanded the potential of our proprietary synthesis platform—originally developed for our plant signaling molecule and herbicide bioenhancer—to create a new generation of biopesticides.

Currently in the research and development phase, this innovative work reflects our commitment to sustainable, science-driven agriculture.

Most biopesticides on the market today rely on microorganisms for the biological control of plant diseases. But biomolecule-based alternatives have growing momentum. These high-value molecules can trigger a plant’s innate immunity, silence harmful genes, or directly inhibit pathogens by disrupting their membranes and cell walls.

Fyteko’s approach focuses on designing cost-effective biomolecules that combine dual functionality: antimicrobial activity and the activation of natural plant defence mechanisms. The aim is to deliver more robust, reliable protection against plant pathogens—offering growers effective and environmentally friendly tools for crop protection.
